Premier League action on Sunday
Today there are two great matches, the first one being a London derby between Crystal Palace and Arsenal. Arsenal has the most to prove in this match. Their season opener against West Ham was not an impressive performance - even though Arsenal controlled most of the play, they were unable to score and instead conceded two goals. Sanchez is back and should play today’s match, so the Arsenal attack is complete and there are no excuses.
Crystal Palace beat Norwich away 3-1 in their season opener, but they were quite lucky. Jerome had a goal incorrectly disallowed, plus Norwich should have been awarded with a penalty. The good news for Crystal Palace is that the three goals they scored were of high quality, and they were good in counter-attacks. The coach Pardew is reporting no new injuries or suspensions.
Last time Crystal Palace hosted Arsenal, the match was quite even, but Gunners won it 2-0 by a Arteta penalty goal in the 47th minute and a Giroud goal in the 87th minute.
Crystal Palace was pretty good in offence in their season opener, so they should have chances to score in this match. Arsenal will for sure get plenty of chances, and should convert them better than they did in the first match. So this could turn in to a match with several goals, and our bet recommendation is for over 2.5 goals. You can get the price 4/5 (1.80) with William Hill.
Manchester City v Chelsea
In the biggest match of the day, Manchester City will host Chelsea. City still has Delph and Fernando unavailable, while Clichy could be back. Courtois was sent off in the last match, so he will be unavailable for Chelsea, plus Oscar is at the moment doubtful.
Manchester City performed well against WBA, but it is hard to say just how good that performance really was considering the opposition. WBA did not impress yesterday against newly promoted Watford. Chelsea was not exactly impressive in their season opener either. Their opponent Swansea is in great form, but even before the red card to Courtois Chelsea was not as dominating as expected. Mourinho did not take the result well, and was once again in the spotlight due to his complaining, demonstrating why many call him Mouninho.
The four last encounters between the two clubs have ended with two goals or less. Last season both fixtures ended 1-1. We expect a similar situation today, with both teams being careful and respectful of the opponent. The draw looks quite attractive, and 5/2 (3.5) is on offer by BET365.
