We continue our Bet24 sportsbook review with a look on their live betting product. Live betting can best be described as betting on steroids. The fast and furious nature of live betting means it is often more about instinct rather than doing your homework. Being able to bet on a match even after it has started adds a whole new dimension to both your sports and betting experience. It has really caught on the last few years and Bet24 is no stranger to this innovative and exciting betting alternative.

Live betting markets and software usability

It is true that they don't cover a wide selection of markets, however this might turn out to be an advantage for beginners as it isn't so overwhelming. While the interface is on the plain and duller-looking side, it is fast-loading and responsive. It provides a clean and simple layout, in contrast to the more fancy but bloated and processor-hungry alternatives out there. Looks wear off after a while - substance doesn't. We know what we'd prefer waking up to every morning. That said, we would like to see improvements on certain parts of the website navigation.

Unlike many other online sportsbooks the website boasts an impressive bet slip functionality, as well as market-leading odds on certain sporting events. Taking into consideration that Bet24 focuses more on Scandinavian sports, the odds provided are likely to be more aggressively priced and more competitive on for instance football, handball, ice hockey and bandy, and less assertive on the more atypical ones.

Live betting on your mobile

Bet24 offers apps that are downloadable for both iphone/ipad and android. This means that mobile betting is easy with Bet24 and no need to navigate through a more normal website that may or may not be optimized for mobile betting. The downside is that you have to download the apps before placing bets, but this is usually a quick process, and once downloaded you are only a few clicks away from placing your live bets.

Live betting bonuses

Bet24 offers generous deposit bonuses for new customers such as 100% bonus and in some cases the bonus is more than  €100, although at the moment we cannot find any bonus specific for live betting. Also make sure you check that you are eligible for the bonus, as some countries are not eligible and the terms and offer detail varies from country to country. Typical bonus requirement is that you need to stake the bonus four times with odds higher than 1.50 before making a withdrawal (but this requirement can vary too depending on bonus and country). This is a common requirement and in our opinion a perfectly reasonable countermeasure against abuse, and no real drawback for genuine customers.

Despite the fact that the website doesn't cover every market imaginable in terms of live betting, there are over 20.000 daily visitors on this section alone. And taking into consideration the history and past ambitions of Bet24, we have no doubts the live betting part will only improve.

Bet24 offers high standards of security through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) system which pretty much is the industry standard.
