Mens Olympic Football - Great Britain v Uruguay
Great Britain exploded onto the Olympic football stage with a fine performance to send home U.A.E. Great Britain only need a draw to qualify while Uruguay must win to avoid having to rely on the Arab Emirates beating Senegal.

Team Analysis - Great Britain have had two matches and played two different games. 1st up they were nervous, tentative and couldn't string two passes together. In hindsight a draw was a good result, 2nd match up and Great Britain pulled together, a series of player changes had a hand in the better performance with Aaron Ramsey starting and playing well. Midfield and attack looked good with Craig Bellamy in particular running his heart out, really taking the game to UAE. The Liverpool man has been the standout performer in both games. Tom Cleverley was a player who impressed in the UAE game also. Uruguay have had two under par displays, they got away with it against UAE but came unstuck against the more physical Senegal. They had bright spots in each game but never threatened at all against the Africans. Only real chance was Ramirez from free kicks. Even with a man sent off Senegal were a better team than Uruguay.
Betting Analysis - This is a really difficult game to call, Great Britain are improving game by game. They have a massive home advantage with sell out crowds roaring them on. The midfield and attack look dangerous. Defensively they are still trying to find cohesion, this is their weak point. Uruguay have underperformed twice now but have to go for the win. This will undoubtably fall into the hands of GB. I have been impressed by the GB team and think they have proved the doubters wrong (including myself!) Selection is Great Britain Draw No Bet @1.95.
