Last Game Analysis: Mexico were outplayed against South Korea for most parts of the game. Were surprisingly unadventurous and seemed intent on not losing rather than trying to win. Only really came alive in the 2nd half when Dos Santos came on as sub. Indeed they had several chances to snatch the win near the death but probably didnt deserve to. Defensively they were solid but they need to make more of a concerted effort to actually win the match. Gabon were another team to endure a shakey start. They were nervous and were all over the place, they eventually settled down and started to look more and more dangerous. Abuymeyang particularly was a constant menace. Gabon were energetic, hard working and direct. They will improve as the tournament moves on.
Betting Analysis: I wasn't at all impressed by Mexico, they were too conservative. They were strong at the back though and rarely looked troubled. They improved with the introduction of Dos Santos and will be a better team if he starts ahead of Peralta. Gabon were the typical African team, Naive at times but fast, powerful and direct. A very young and inexperienced team they should improve as they gain confidence. Its a difficult game to call again so we will look at the Unders/Overs markets. Game will be tight and Mexico will defend hard again. Under/Over 2.5 goals @ 1.70 is the selection.
