Senegal P3 W1 D2 L0 GF4 GA2 - Top Scorers:Konate 4.
Team Analysis: Mexico played three strong matches and had the upper hand in each game. Coach Tena finally started with Gio Dos Santos who until now had been El Tri's best player even though he was a substitute. Mexico look really strong at the back and have yet to concede a goal, They are a capable attacking unit and even more so with Dos Santos on the field. Peralta looks the player of old when Dos Santos plays too. They play a patient game and allow teams on to them, they are confident in their back players and indeed they have yet to be troubled in their three group games. It has to be said they had and easy group so it hard to gauge how solid they really are. Senegal impressed during the group stages but have a slight weakness in defence. They are quite solid in all areas but lack concentration at key moments, leaving gaps at the back and letting opposition players go unmarked. They have troubled opponents with their strong physical play and in Papa Konate they have the current leading scorer. They get forward well and play a fast paced attacking game.
Betting Analysis: This is another really close game to call and could go either way. I think Mexico have the better players and the better defence which will be vital, Mexico have impressed so far without actually being tested much. They easily dispatched Gabon who where the top qualifiers from Africa. Senegal only finished 4th in the same competition. Selection is Mexico To Qualify@1.80
