Mens Olympic Football - Spain v Morocco
Tournament 2nd favourites Spain booked their flights home early after a miserable start to the Olympics. Losing twice without scoring was something no Spain fan thought would happen. Morocco can qualify but need Japan to beat Honduras then they themselves must beat Spain.

Team Analysis: Spain had an horrendous opening match in which they were exposed time and time again by some inspired Japanese play. Spain were 2nd to the ball and were out matched by the industry and effort of their opposition. Martinez was sent off but in truth Spain would have lost with 11 men as Japan spurned chance after chance. Spain played a good game against Honduras and really laid siege to the Honduran goal, again without much success. Munian had an excellent game and Mata was more involved. Spain have nothing to play for now and may play a whole new team. Morroco have not really played well enough to deserve to go through. In drawing with Honduras they defended poorly and were lucky to get away with a 2-2 draw. They showed glimpses of good attacking play with Labyad especially getting the praise. In the defeat to Japan they were on top for part of the game with Labyad again influential. Finding success down the flanks Morroco had several half chances but never really threatened the Japanese goal.
Betting Analysis: Like the other Group D game this for me another "no bet". Uncertainty over the Spain lineup and Morocco's two insipid performances leave me to pass this game over for selections.
