Sheffield United have done well to get this far and always seem to overperform in cup games against teams higher than them. However I think it ends here tonight. They are also hindered by the fact that’s it’s a 2 legged game and they always reduce the chances of an upset. Spurs go into this one in up and down form. Hammering champions elect Chelsea 5-3 but then losing 2-1 to Palace. In last 6 though they are doing well with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Home form for them sees 6 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. They are without Erik Lamela and Nabil Bentaleb. Sheffield are in League 1 and sit in 7th position. They are way off the pace though and are 18 points of the joint leaders. Away form for them sees 5 wins from 12. They are without James Wallace and Ben Davies with Ryan Flyn out too.
Spurs will have too much for Sheffield here. Fair enough the Blades beat QPR by 3 last round but that was a half assed effort by Harry Redknapp. I think Spurs will be too good in all areas and see a high margin win to seal the tie. We need a 2 goal victory for payout – a 1 goal win sees half stakes returned.
