Brentford sneaked in by the back door after some amazing final day results but I believe their excellent run will end here. They finished 5th with 78 points from 46 games. Home form reads 12 wins, 6 draws and 5 defeats. Recent form mixed with 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Will Grigg and Nick Proschwitz will not be involved while fellow striker Scott Hogan is out for season. Chris Long may take his place on the bench but the return leg may be better suited. Boro go into this one having finished 4th with 85 points. Their form was mixed too with 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats just not good enough in the final push for the automatics. Away form was solid with 10 wins, 5 draws and 8 losses. Jonathon Woodgate is not 100% but George Friend and top scorer Partick Bamford are available again.
