Last match of the 1^st round sees West Brom host Man City. Tony Pulis took control of Baggies in the New Year and had an initial effect on the side but West Brom petered out towards the end of the season.  They have had a low key summer too with McClean, Lambert and Chester joining. A load of fringe members have left but West Brom look about the same all round quality for me. Keeper Foster is out but they do have Myhill to fill in. McCauley is the only doubt for this game. Man City again flattered to deceive on the domestic stage and in Europe. They have the squad that ranks at the very highest in England but some little spark is missing.  Raheem Sterling comes in for a few quid short of 50 million!  Delph and Roberts arrive as City bulk up the “homegrown” contigent. Jovetic, Milner, Lampard, Richards and Nastasic all depart and City are a bit short for me. They should be investing sooner rather than later and I can see some mega buys coming through the doors. City have some doubts for this game with Zaba, Clichy, Demechils, Silva, Toure, Nasri, Delph & Aguero

Even with men out City should be way too strong for West Brom. The odds are pitched low for City as they should be. We take the -0.75 line which means we need a 2 goal win for full payment. A 1 goal win for City gets half a win and half stakes returned.
