APOEL Nicosia against Astana of Kazahkstan and it’s the visitors who see to make history if they can avoid defeat or even losing by 1 goal it’s a possibility. Astana had more clear cut chances in the 1st leg but that was amazing given that they hardly seen the ball in 90 minutes. They were more direct and had a few chances to increase the lead with counter attacking play. Astana defended really well here in leg 1 and APOEL will have to be on their guard in Cyprus. These two sides will have to approach the game in different mind sets. I see the away side seeking to kill the game and use their fast counter attacking style when they can. APOEL did dominate possession but failed to create much in the 90 minutes in Kazak. I feel at home they will be more composed and can see a very low scoring win for the home side. I wouldn’t be put off backing a 1-0 win for APOEL at 9-2.
Very few goals here and the under 2.5 looks a certainty but is priced way to low. I looked to the match betting and do think APOEL are a value bet at 1.97 with Pinnacle.
