Tough 2^nd leg for both sides after a 0-0 draw in Borisov. Skenderbeu have been Albanian champions for the last four seasons, though last year was the first time they got past the first qualifying round in Champions league. With just four friendly matches played since May, three of which ended in defeat they could find themselves well out of their depth in this.  After reaching the Group stages for an impressive two seasons in a row Bate Borisov fell at the first qualifying hurdle last season, and they would have faced  Skenderbeu then if they had overcome Shakhter Karagandy. The Belarus champions get the chance here against the Albanian opposition, whose away European record is poor, and I don’t expect them to slip up. Seventeen games into the current season Bate sit second, and they are unbeaten since an opening day defeat. With home advantage, guaranteed match fitness and an excellent European record which includes a win over the mighty Bayern Munich in recent times.  BATE were the better side at home its true but they created little and this must be a concern for them travelling to Albania.

 

I take another low scoring game here think Skenderbeu can force another draw, don’t forget a scoring draw is enough to take BATE through so  if it is 1-1 with a small period of time left they will kill off the game. Both sides well matched in Belarus so 3-1 or 4.00 looks too big here.
