CELTA DE VIGO V ATHLETIC BILBAO PREDICTIONS

Celta Vigo are in a very close fight to avoid relegation and really need to pick up 3 points here if they want to stay up.  Athletic Club should be safe but will need a few more wins to be sure.

Celta de Vigo are 17^th in la liga with 30 points from 33 matches which leaves them even with 18^th place Deportivo and 19^th place Zaragoza.  There are 6 teams at the bottom of the table all within 5 points of each other and any 3 of them could go down.  Celta’s recent form has seen two straight wins which has carried them out of the relegation zone, a 2-1 home win over Zaragoza and a 1-0 away win over Levante.  Celta Vigo could be finding form at just the right time and with two home matches in a row coming up they would love to pull clear of the bottom 3.

Athletic Bilbao are 14^th in la liga with 37 points from 33 matches which leaves them 7 points ahead of the drop zone.  They are still not safe with 5 games remaining and need to pick up at least one more win if not 2 to be sure.  They have not won in 4 matches but got a strong 2-2 draw at home to Barcelona last time out which should give them confidence.
