STANDARD LIEGE – LOKEREN: PREDICTIONS
Standard Liege have had a barnstorming start to the season, winning all seven opening games. Scoring 16 and conceding just 2 in what is a fantastic opening. Indeed until last weekend’s 4-2 away win at Oostende Liege had not even conceded a single goal in the league! With 6 wins and 1 defeat in Europe too this side look to be very strong indeed. This week’s midweek loss at home to Esbjerg in Europa League brought to an end Liege’s unbelievable record of 15 straight competitive victories.
Lokeren have had an impressive start to the season too. 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat is a great return for Lokeren who have performed way above expected. With the exception of the opening day 3-2 win over Anderlecht Lokeren have yet to face a top team so they are higher than they should be.
STANDARD LIEGE – LOKEREN: BETTING TIPS
Big games abound in Belgium and this one is between two of the top three in Belgium at the moment. However Standard Liege are several levels above the visitors and should have few problems here. Liege did not go with a strong eleven in midweek so will not be weakened by the Thursday run out in Europa League. Slight move on Lokeren which suprises but I take Standard Liege at 1.60 with William Hill.
