ACCRINGTON – CARDIFF: PREDICTIONS

Real test for the squad of Cardiff here and whether Malkay McKay wants to concentrate on the league. Accrington get a real money spinner in Capital One Cup.

Accrington are yet to win in the league after a real baptism of fire for new boss James Beattie. 1 draw and 3 defeats are all he has to show for the opening period of League Two. Indeed their only win so far was a fantastic 2-1 away win at Middlesbrough in Round 1!  Key men out for Accy with Danny Webber, suspended and Nicky Hunt injured.

Cardiff have had a tough opening few fixtures with an away tie at West Ham and a home match with Man City. The away loss to The Hammers was fair enough as not many teams will get anything from that match. However the side outdid itself with  superb 3-2 home win against 2^nd favourites for the league Man City. The side pressed for 90 minutes and had many outstanding performers. Gary Medel in midfield was excellent and striker Frazier Campbell was deadly with 2 goals from 2 half chances. City coached moaned about the play of Cardiff after the game but the Chilean will have to realise that all teams in the Prem are competitive and will play this way against the big sides. A full squad to choose from for McKay who for sure will rotate here.
