BRISTOL CITY – CRYSTAL PALACE: PREDICTIONS
This was an all Championship clash last season but now two divisions separate these teams. Can Bristol City cause an upset in this Capital One Cup clash?
Bristol City were relegated from the Championship last season despite a late rally. At the start of their League One campaign they have sort of had an instant replay of the start from last year. Yet to win with 2 draws and 2 defeats including some ridiculous defending (the lowlight being a 5-4 defeat to Coventry) In the cup they defeated Gillingham 2-0 away for their only win so far. Exciting young striker Sam Baldock has netted 4 in 4 so far and Bristol will rely heavily on him for the season.
Crystal Palace have had a tough start to life in the top tier as everyone thought they would. Palace have lost both matches so far, 1-0 at home to Spurs and 2-1 away to Stoke. Two fairly difficult fixtures to be fair but their have been few signs of anything decent coming from Selhurst Park. Worryingly for The Eagles coach Ian Holloway has shown disdain for the cup competitions in the past. Palace boss Ian Holloway has already stated changes will be made.Neil Alexander is likely to start in goal, whilst Elliot Grandin and Florian Marange are likely to start. Marouane Chamakh may start up front, but Aaron Wilbraham is more likely to lead the line.Yannick Bolasie unable to play as he is still injured.

This game looks very close to me and I expect a shadow Palace side here too. Bristol City have a simply astounding record at home to Crystal Palace with 9 wins from the last 10 games! I am going for an upset here. I think this could be a really tight game but Bristol City can find a way to squeeze through. I prefer the Bristol City To Qualify at 2.62 with William Hills.
