TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY
Man City have already announced that none of the players who started the weekend 1-1 draw with Arsenal will figure in the midweek Capital One cup game. Now for any normal club this might spell trouble but for City it means that their squad of immense quality gets a run out. Players likely to start could include Tevez, Balotelli or extremely promising young striker John Guidetti. As well as those not selected City have injuries to midfielders James and Samir Nasri and right backs Maicon and Micah Richards. City are in a bit of shakey form at the moment and will want to get back into winning ways here.
Aston Villa could be in serious trouble in the Premier League. The side were destroyed by new boys Southampton 4-1 at the weekend and barring a 2-0 win over Swansea have looked largely lifeless. The return of Darren Bent is a massive plus and its only a matter of time before he clicks and starts banging them in but the team is largely devoid of any creative players and looks in trouble for me.
1X2 BETTING PREDICTION
1.36 on Man City (Betfair) is the selection as even with a massive rake of changes City possess huge talent. Defensive will contain Kolo Toure, Kolarov and Zabaleta. Midfield could contain Rodwell and Sinclair and upfront either Tevez or Balotelli or both! Villa are in dire straights and cannot compete with a hungry City second string.

ASIAN HANDICAP PREDICTION
Man City on the -1.5 handicap at 2.00 is the selection (BetVictor) It may seem a bit speculative but I believe that City will come out firing from the off as all the younger, unused players will be fully wound up to perform. The forward line itself would be fit to grace any team in world football. Tevez and Balotelli as back up strikers shows how crazy life is in the blue half of Manchester at the moment. Villa will battle hard but this is insufficient to stop City and the home side will win with goals.

TOTAL GOALS PREDICTION
Over 3.5 goals 2.33(Pinnacle) is a speculative bet. The price is way out of line as the general price is 2.05. With City expected to bag a few goals and Villa hoping to at least make a game of it we could see a glut of goals. The statistics point towards a few goals but they are largely redundant for this City team as its likely to be a totally different side. If we get and early goal or better still an early Villa goal the bet will be on.
