Liverpool take on Southampton in this 2nd leg EFL Cup match. The 1st leg finished 1-0 at St Mary's and in truth Southampton could have won by more. Southampton go into this match on a run of 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. Virgil van Dijk is a major doubt and will likely miss out. Steven Davis is likely to be fit though. Liverpool arrive here on the back of one of their worst performances of the season, losing 3-2 at home to Swansea, They are in poor form generally also with just 1 win in 6 matches - 3 draws and 2 losses in that time. Jordan Henderson is a slight doubt as he tries to overcome a troublesome heel injury. Joel Matip is free to play and should line up.
