Really tough match to predict this one as neither side will be a proper 1st team. Man Utd host Ipswich in what could have been an interesting one but LVG nor Mick Mac will go with the normal guys here. Man Utd will go with the likes of youngsters Wilson, McNair,Valera,El Fitouri to match up with the a few older fringe guys like Romero, Valencia, Herrera and Fellaini. Not a great side by any means but one that should be able to put away an Ipswich side run by the reknowed “cup hater” Mick McCarthy. Ipswich have yet to name a side but chances are the stiffs will return. Less pressure too as they know they are playing almost a full reserve United side. The last time Mick McCarthy played at Old Trafford in this cup he changed the entire 1st eleven and his Wolves side were fined by the England FA! He has already said Bristol City at the weekend is the important match so we can take everything from that.
Man Utd at 2/5 to beat 2nd tier Ipswich seems a massive price but this is a reserve match up. However here we at least now that United will be at full intent. I expect a straightforward win for Red Devils 2nd eleven.
