Manchester City v Wigan predictions & betting tips

Manchester City will still be without David Silva, Gael Clichy and Martin Demicheles. Pellegrini is expected to rotate the squad quite a bit as they’ve had a pretty tough fixture program lately, and is set to play a lot also the coming week. No matter what eleven players will run out on the pitch for the sky blues, it will be a massive team. Micah Richards is likely to play again after being ruled fit again. Jack Rodwell and Stevan Jovetic are likely candidates for a spot too. Top drawer players! Pellegrini has also made place for 17 year old Marcos Lopez and 18 year old Gregory Leigh in the squad.

Wigan hasn’t opened very well in the Championship. Ivan Ramis and Grant Holt are expected to be fit for this clash after sitting out in the weekend. Callum McMannaman is still out though. Marc-Antoine Fortune and Shaun Maloney are both carrying knocks, but are expected to be fit.

Manchester City is a massive favorite here, no doubt. Owen Coyle is a good coach and Wigan is a good club, but here they are up against a great coach, and a great club. I can’t see Wigan bringing enough to the table against even a very tinkered with City eleven.

Wigan has failed to score away in two out of three Championship games, and here they’re up against a much better eleven.
