I don’t really see how being in the competition benefits either side but team depth is obviously much more in evidence with Man City. Sunderland are bottom of the table in Premiership without a win. They have managed 2 draws and 4 losses in 6. While Man City are still top of the league despite a 1st loss of the season. Going down 2-1 at home to West Ham. They have 5 wins and 1 loss in which they never conceded a goal in 1st 5. Younes Kaboul is out but Sunderland have John O’Shea and DeAndre Yedlin available. A load of players out for City with Kompany, Clichy, Zabaleta,Nasri and Delph all out. Doubts over Mangala and Silva too. City will likely rotate heavily but will still include the likes of Dimechelis, Otamendi,Navas, De Bruyn,Boney and Iheanacho.
Sunderland will have a go but I just don’t see City losing here, even with a scratch side. Problem is the odds are very low City. I am taking them to overpower Sunderland early. Man City half time and full time is 5-4 or 2.25 Skybet. Odds are dropping on this one so advice is back now.
