Birmingham are 17^th in the Championship with 38 points from 32 matches which leaves them just 4 points above the relegation zone.  Their recent form has been fairly good though with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 5 matches. 

Sheffield Wednesday are 20^th in the table with 36 points from 31 matches and a win in this game will take them ahead of their opponents in the table.  They were expecting to struggle after their promotion last season and survival is their only goal this season.

Birmingham put their full squad up for sale during the January transfer window due to money trouble and this led to young goalkeeper Jack Butland signing for Stoke but was loaned back to Birmingham to see out the remainder of the season.  The fans will be hoping a new owner can come in soon before more players are lost during the summer.
