TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Birmingham are in serious trouble on and off the field. With only one win in five matches now and the real danger of going into administration and having points deducted, Brum are in a bit of bother. Players have been touted around with assets Frankie Fielding and Marlon King offered for sale. Last match started well with Zigic causing Bolton problems but Birmingham could not really hold on and Bolton easily took the ascendancy.. Birmingham have a few injury worries: Zigic is suspended and joins fellow strikers Marlon King, Peter Lovenkrands and Akwasi Asante on the sidelines. Leaving youngster Jake Jervis to make the eleven, a player yet to make a single start. Midfielders Papa Bouba Diop and Darren Ambrose will sit out. Five quality attacking players who will be severely missed.

Cardiff continue to rack up the wins, with eight in the last ten matches. At home they have only slipped up once with 12 wins. They sit atop the table and are the best allround side in the league. With many options in all areas they are in with a great shout of winning the league. They have very few weaknesses and will be winning plenty more games before the seasons out. Malky Mackay may decide to freshen things up with Jordon Mutch, Joe Mason and Kim Bo-Kyung all waiting in the wings having been in and out of the side in recent weeks.
