Birmingham have shown an improvement over the last few games. After dispatching Bristol City with ease they travelled to Blackburn and more than matched the pre season league favourites and took a deserved point. In an exciting attacking performance that suggested Lee Clark has finally gotten his team on track. Their is futher good news off the field with Italian Gianni Paladini putting in a bid for the club. 2 wins in 7 for Birmingham who need to start converting chances and going for wins. Keith Fahey has been given compassionate leave and will not play. Dutch international Romeo Castelen is on trail and may take a place on the bench.

Hull had gotten back on track with 5 wins from the last 7 matches. Last time out however they travelled to Cardiff and like every other side who has tried came away with a loss. Hull played well though after falling behind early on. Ultimately though Cardiff were too strong and deserved the win. Hull are a very well balanced, organised side who play decent football, they will beat most sides in this league. Paul McShane is a doubt having picked up a niggle on international duty.
