Blackburn host Cardiff in England Championship opener. Blackburn have released 14 players, a massive amount but they did have a bloated squad. Only three players actually made an impression. Leon Best, DJ Campbell and Scott Dann. Of the others none will be missed. Income a few with Luke Varney and Micheal Keane of note. Cardiff have also lost a host of players but have drafted a fair few in. Out has gone Jordan Mutch, Steven Caulker, Craig Bellamy and Frazier Campell with several other fringe players. Of note coming in are Juan Cala, Kagisho Dikgakoi, Adam La Fondre and Javi Guerre.
A tight opener for both sides and for me a typical each of two game. The bookmakers all favour Blackburn though and that’s good news for me. I take the Asian line on the visitors, who get a small start.
