BURNLEY - BARNSLEY PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Burnley registered their 1st win in seven attempts, after a really barren spell in which they only managed a single goal in the last four games. Burnley were the better side away at a Charlton side who seem to have lost all motivation. Something Burnley seemed to have done until the weekend. Despite their poor run they have only conceded four in the last five. Sitting in 11th Burnley still have a very outside chance of a play off spot. Only a long sequence of wins would enable this though. A few injuries for the Turf Moor side with Ross Wallace, Chris McCann and Dean Marney all out.

Barnsley lost for the 2nd consecutive match, after such a long run of great results they have stalled recently. Conceding 8 goals in those 2 defeats is also worrying, especially since neither Bolton or Bristol City are anywhere near the best sides in the league. The two losses have seen the side fall back into the relegation mess. They are just a solitary point above Peterborough, Barnsley do have a game in hand over a few teams at the bottom and this could be vital. With a record of 10 wins, 7 draws and 17 losses The Tykes are in need of a few more points on the board. Injuries sideline defenders Rory Delap and Jim McNulty.

Barnsley ay 4.30 is a massive price, for a team with massive attacking promise (13 in the last 5) they are worth a punt here. The two  recent losses followed on to a 10 match unbeaten run where they looked a very good side. Burnley were greatful for a Charlie Austin wonderstrike to grab their three points last week but they have been very flat of late.
