Two sides in the middle table positions but for me there is great value siding with the visitors. Cardiff have seemingly lost a lot of the locality. Some bizarre decisions by nutjob owner Tan has seen the club colours change twice. Managers changed more often and players coming and going. They are in 14th with 44 points from 35 games. Home form sees 8 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses. Recently they have 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat. Keeper David Marshall misses out as does Anthony Pilkington and Scott Malone. Peter Whittingham returns though and that’s a boost. Charlton are on a cracking run and indeed are above todays hosts. They are in 12th with 45 points from 35 games. Away form sees 3 wins, 7 draws and 7 losses. Last 6 is good with 4 wins from 6 – but the opposition defeated are Brentford, Huddersfield, Nottm Forest and Wigan. Positive team news too with Johann Gudmundsson and Chris Solly both fit.
Cardiff seem in a bit of a muddle to me, not knowing what to do. They are looking to write the season off and move onto next year. Charlton are in great form and have key men back too. With a half goal start we get them and the draw – well worth the price.
