Cardiff currently stand with the best home record of any league accross Europe. Nine straight victories, 20 goals scored and only 5 conceded. Unbeaten in four matches the side from Wales are topping the table. With a very balanced side and strength on the bench too Cardiff are looking good for automatica promotion. They must kick on with the home form and start grabbing a few wins outside of Wales. Last match was typical Cardiff, a tricky away tie against mid table Derby became a battle that they nearly lost. Slightly fortunate to grab a 1-1 draw, confidence is understandably lower away from their home fortress. Cardiff are boosted by the return of no less than 5 players! Kevin McNaughton, Ben Turner,Andrew Taylor, Simon Lappin and Don Cowie are all available for Malkie Mackay.
Sheffield Wednesday continued their losing run of form, losing at home to Watford 4-1 in a game they were second best in for the whole match. This is five straight losses for Wednesday who have dropped down the table.  Dave Jones has moved to secure two class players on loan from the Premier league. Jeremy Helan and Mamady Sidibe check in on the short term. Anthony Gardner, Lewis Buxton and Rhys McCabe are all rated highly doubtful for this game and will all be missed. Wednesday are likely to continue with Sidibe up top alone but this is unlikely to help against the all conquering home side.
