TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Charlton are unbeaten in four matches and going into the weekend match had three on the spin now and are starting to look a good side. The promoted side from League 1 had an intial struggle but have suffered with injuries due to a small squad. Things are looking up for The Addicks who have also re-inforced with loan signings; Midfielders Eggert Jonsson and Emmanuel Frimpong have arrived from Wolves and Arsenal respectively. With Ricardo Fuller recovered from injury Charlton are fully staffed and look good to kick on. Really solid defensively they are a tough side to break down.
Peterborough are back in serious trouble, after their own mini revival they are back in a major slump. Without a win in five matches which includes four straight losses. With 13 losses in all from 18 games it shows how poor the quality is in this league that they are still not adrift. Coach Ferguson has brought a few in, midfielder George Thorne and striker Dwight Gayle check in on loan. Peterborough have let striker Emile Sinclair go out on loan, this is the result of an internal disciplinary as upto four players were given significant fines and transfer listed for an unnamed offence. At the weekend they managed a 1-1 away draw with fellow strugglers Ipswich in a game they should have won. The better side throughout the match they just lacked the final touch. Ipswich were never in the game and scored with their only shot on goal.

They did have a decent first eleven coming into the season but had little back up. Powell has brought in the likes of Fuller, Hulse and Frimpong, all Premiership quality. Charlton is the selection here 2.00 at -0.75 (Pinnacle) Charlton have too much quality for Peterborough here. This game should be an entertaining affair as both sides play neat, attacking football. A forward line of Hulse and Fuller is top line though and Peterborough will be unable to deal with the dual threat. With little goal threat of their own this could be a win to nil for Charlton and the three quarter handicap is favoured.
