TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Derby are in a poor run of form and have only 1 win in 5 games. They remain solid at home but are really struggling away from Pride Park. This poor run continued at the weekend with a poor 4-1 loss at Leicester. Derby again played with little confidence and deserved nothing from the game. Derby are looking at the loss of two key players for this match; Gareth Roberts and Craig Bryson will both sit out and will be hard to replace. Derby have little depth to their squad and although they have a decent first eleven their is not much quality on the bench.
Leeds are back on song and have enjoyed three straight victories. That the wins happened after the big takeover is no coincedence. Neil Warnock has been promised some cash for player investment come January and was allowed a couple of loan signings too. Both Alan Tate and Jerome Thomas have had a huge impact on the team, they slotted in seamlessly and have both been outstanding. With a few players returning from injury Leeds have gone from also rans to a top side in the space of two weeks. A remarkable turnaround and Warnock must be given some credit for that. Leeds made the short journey to local rivals Huddersfield and hammered them in a very attack minded display. A 4-2 victory was the least they deserved for such a high quality performance.
