TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Watford halted a dire run of form with a two back to back wins over Huddersfield away and Charlton at home. The Charlton win was all the more impressive as it was won with 10 men for 45 minutes. Watford have come under criticism for their unorthodox recruitment drive but it has yet to really click for them. The players have talent, no doubt but they seem to lack the fight and in this league players must be prepared to graft. Fernando Forestieri is suspended and there are mounting injuries. Skipper John Eustace , Prince Buaben, Geoffrey Mujangi Bia and Ikechi Anya are all sidelined.
Middlesborough are really struggling for consistency, they played poorly in midweek against Derby and had to rely on an injury time screamer to grab a point. They have the core players to make up a good side and individually have a strong backline, they just cannot seem to get it together. Middlesborough are generally a poor team on the road and have only 1 win to show for all their travels. Tony Mowbray hasn't exactly been helped by a succession of injury problems this term. Scott McDonald will hope for a return to the Middlesbrough starting XI after scoring on his comeback. Ishmael Miller, Mustapha Carayol, Merouane Zemmama and Curtis Main are out while Marvin Emnes and attacking midfielder Adam Reach are fighting to shake off injuries.
