Ipswich are back to scrambling for points after a poor January. With only 1 win in 7 now the opening few wins under Mick McCarthy seem a lifetime away. At the weekend Ipswich gave another muted display to go down to a resurgent Blackburn. With The Tractor Boys just 1 point above the dropzone points are at a premium now and wins are needed at this stage.  With 9 wins, 8 draws and 14 wins Ipswich are looking back in trouble. Holding the worst goal difference in the division could be a problem at the end of the season with only a few points seperating 7 teams at the bottom.

Blackpool are in up and down form at the moment with 2 wins and 3 defeats in the last five games. The Tangerines have a problem defending at the moment and have only managed 2 clean sheets in 15 games and none in the last seven matches. Blackpool look another side set for a midtable finish, sitting 10 points off the last playoff zone and only six above the drop zone. Matt Gilks returns from suspension. It looks like Blackpool are ready to name Paul Ince as new boss, but not in time for this game.

Ipswich will have maximum motivation here and should overall a lacklustre Blackpool side. The home side are in desperate need of points and will be more motivated than pool. Blackpool are till without a manager but that looks like being tied up sometime next week. I expect a home win here and the price seems very generous, 2.65 for Ipswich who are only 5 points behind their opponents.
