Newcastle opened the season not how many people expected with a loss. They travelled to Fulham and went off at odds on. They have a disjointed and decidedly average performance and fully deserved to lose. I expect them to improve for the home game here. Last season’s leading scorer Nakhi Wells is available after sitting on the bench in midweek. Dean Whitehead is banned while Philip Billing and Harry Bunn sit out injured.
Newcastle were far from impressive last weekend and looked like a bunch of strangers. Defensively ok but going forward they were disjointed and leaderless.
