TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Peterborough are losing too many matches now and are back in the mire after a positive run in mid October. Losing by the odd goal while competing is simply not good enough. They have won a few friends playing their patient attacking football but points are the most important thing. The team is not as attack minded as recent years and the quality is down too. 12 losses from 16 is a very poor run and only a rake of other poor sides means they are not adrift yet. Peterborough are in the middle of a team crisis. Four players have been done for "breach of club discipline" Zakuani, Sinclair, Barnett and Mendez-Laing have all been heavily fined and placed on the transfer list. These problems will not help the already floundering club. Defenders Mark Little and Tommy Rowe are both rated doubtful.

Blackburn are yet to win in three games but still remain in a high position, underlining just how difficult this league is. Henning Berg is trying to rally his side but he had the misfortune to join at the start of a run of very difficult fixtures. Blackburn only lost the Palace game though, highlighting the real quality they have. Berg must get his side back on winning tracks now and Peterborough is a great fixture for that.
