Another of my best bets of the weekend in England Championship is Reading on the road to Wolves. Reading under Jaap Stam looked good in their 1-0 win over Preston. They dominated the ball and possession was nearly 80% in that match. They were solid in defence and never looked in any danger. No new injury or suspension worries for the visitors either. Wolves lost manager Kenny Jackett early on last week and moved new man Philipe Montarnier in. They brought a number of loanees in from all across Europe. Their opening day 2-2 draw with Rotherham had some good and bad aspects but they looked very green at the back. Mike Williamson remains sidelined, while Nouha Dicko, Michal Zyro and Jordan Graham are still out.
I was keen to side with Reading after their performance last week and an away trip to Wolves isn’t the most daunting of tasks. Wolves were poor at the back last match and although they did have a few good moments in attack. Reading with a slight start is a great bet for me.
