Bet of the day for me in England Conference is Grimsby at home to Halifax. It’s a tough game at the top of the table but I believe the home side will grab the three points. Grimsby are in 2^nd with 33 points. At home they show 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. They have only conceded 4 goals at home all season.  Recent form is best in division with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.   Halifax are doing well this season too. They are in  4^th with 32 points.   Form is not so good with 2 wins, 2 draws  and 2 defeats in last 6. They only played on Sunday and had a really tough game in front of the cameras against Bradford. They gave a good account of themselves as they usually do at The Shay. Away from home, and especially against top half sides I tend to oppose them as they are only good at beating the rubbish on the road. Steve Williams will miss the game through suspension

I think the home side will prevail here. The extra days recovery for Grimsby will make a big difference come the last hour. 48 hours is no time for me to recover. At this level fitness isn’t as high as league football. Grimsby are in superb form, not so good for Halifax.
