LUTON – SALISBURY : PREDICTIONS

Conference National sees an interesting match up at Kenilworth Road, Luton host Salisbury in a lively fixture.

Luton have been an example to many of how not to run a club. Regular member of the top flight of English football for many years The Hatters now find themselves in the fifth division.  Between 2007 and 2009, financial difficulties caused the club to fall from the second tier of English football to the fifth in successive seasons. Luton are always amongst the favourites for the title but always seem to fall short. They opened up this season with a poor defeat away to one of the relegation favourites Southport. Problems with players for this game too, Key defender Steve McNulty is suspended while key attacker Ronnie Henry is injured, another attacker Alex Lawless is doubtful as are squad members Alex Wall and Jon Shaw.

Salisbury have played in several different leagues over the past decade or so, due to a financial collapse in 2009. After working their way up to the Conference National they found the step up too much and collapsed under the financial strain. Dropping down two levels they quickly worked their way back up the ladder and returned to the top level of non league this season. Salisbury opened up their campaign with a 1-0 home loss to lowly ranked Tamworth. Not a good start at all and a poor opener. Salisbury are current joint 3^rd favourites for the drop. Key striker Warren Feeney is very doubtful to miss out here.

LUTON – SALISBURY: BETTING TIPS

This game looks very likely to be a home win here and there are a wide range of odds available.  I would be nearer the bottom range of odds on Luton as this looks a surefire home win.  Willhills 1.62 on Luton looks very big, with 1.40 available we look to get on the home side here. Even with a few injuries and suspension, Luton have a huge squad and have real depth at this level so should not be hit hard.
