BRIGHTON v HULL CITY: 1x2 BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

Brighton released coach Gus Poyet after an internal investigation last season and this years team are pretty much in the same shape. Sitting just outside the playoffs in 7^th they have a similar record to last season. Strong defensively but unable to score many. Their goals for record is amongst the lowest in the division. They have however won their last four home games 1-0; showing some good progress under ex-Barcelona youth coach Oscar Garcia.  Key man Keith Andrews has recoverd to play. Hull are in 13^th in Premier League and coach Steve Bruce has already shown a little disrespect for the tournament as he as played a ‘weakened team’ on several occasions. Hull have had a really easy run so far though so have won through without much fuss. They have a fairly strong squad so games against lesser sides with their 2^nd eleven have been a doddle. They are in the last 9 now so may as well go for it. This years competition has seen a lot of big sides already fall so the chance of silverware is there. Sone Aluko will make his first start since October which is handy as strikers Jelavic and Long are cupties. Paul McShane is out long term.

This looks a really tight game to me and both sides are solid defenders. With key attackers missing for Hull to in Jelavic and Long they lose a bit of potency too. Goals have been lacking for Brighton generally and for Hull on their travels. Recent stats show just 16 goals in the last 10 games for both sides for a game average of 1.60 goals per game. Under 2.5 goals has paid out in 9 of the last 10 games which shows how tight both teams are.
