Neither side are in the best of form going into this game. I feel Solskjaer can hardly afford to throw this game away as the threat of Vincent Tan sacking again can not be underestimated. Cardiff are decent at home though and have only lost 5 of their 13 home games (won 4 and drawn 4) – Recent form shows just 1 win in 6 though. Absent for Cardiff are Taylor and Bellamy while key attacker Mutch is doubtful too. Against the lower league Wigan they surely deserve to be shorter than 2.10 (11-10) Wigan of The Championship are defending champions its true but they have not set the lower league alight. New manager Uwe Rosler has improved the side somewhat though. They are in 9^th position in the league and are only 4 points off the playoff positions. Missing for Wigan are ineligible key striker Nicky Maynard and Shaun Maloney.

Cardiff are way too big in this tie and for me are a good thing to go through. The odds suggest bookmakers think Wigan will be a match for Cardiff but not me. I take Cardiff to go through and its up to you to select the best odds from all the submarkets. I can see goals here for sure as an old fashioned gung ho cup tie looks like taking place. Both to score but Cardiff to win, good value and a cracking bet.
