EVERTON V WIGAN ATHLETIC PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

The FA Cup 6^th round tie sees an early kick off between two Premier League sides.  Everton who are pushing for a European place take on a Wigan side who are deep in a relegation fight.

Everton are 6^th in the Premier League and are just 2 points behind Arsenal and a guaranteed Europa League spot.  They have been impressive this season but their recent league form has been worrying, losing 2 of their last 3 matches before winning at home to Reading last week.  They will feel this competition offers them a real chance of a trophy with a number of top sides already out.

Wigan are just hanging on to safety and are in 17^th position just goal difference ahead of the drop zone.  With no league match this week they will drop into the bottom 3 but will have a game in hand to get themselves back out of it and that will have to be their primary focus, ahead of this competition.  With no midweek game they will still play a strong side here but I don’t expect manager Roberto Martinez to be desperate to qualify for the next round.

Everton are justified favourites for this one despite their recent blip in form.  They are undefeated in 5 at home and have scored 9 goals in their last 3 home games so are in a good run of run at Goodison. 

I can’t see Everton slipping up here and will be backing them to win at 1.45 with BetVictor.
