MANCHESTER CITY V BARNSLEY PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
Manchester City have their last chance of a trophy this season in the FA Cup and have one of the easier ties of the round for the favourites.
City are a distant 2nd in the EPL 12 points behind United and have to concede that they won’t win the title this season. That along with another disappointing Champions League Group performance where they finished bottom has left the FA Cup as City’s only hope for silverware this season. Winning it might still not be enough for manager Roberto Mancini to hold onto his job however.
Barnsley have some more pressing worries this season and are in the relegation zone in the Championship. They have struggled with 2 defeats and a draw in their last 3 games and need to start amassing points soon or it’ll be a season in League 1 for them next year.
City have had no midweek game leading up to this nor one after so they can play a full strength side without worrying about players being tired for their next game. I would expect some changes however in a match they will expect to win easily.
