Carlisle sit in 17th position after a poor season so far. The Cumbrians had a disastrous end to 2012 with a long sequence of poor results.  With 9 wins, 5 draws and 13 defeats they are in a bit of bother. Luckily for them 2013 has brought  three home wins on the bounce.  Carlisle have a few defensive worries; Chris Chantler is out with an anke injury, Alessio Bugno is on trial in Italy and Peter Murphy is out. Major problems for the home side.

Scunthorpe's season has been similar to Carlisles. Currently 3 places below their opponents and 7 points seperate them going into this game. Scunny have only 6 wins, 7 draws and 14 losses and sit only 2 points above the relegation places. Irons broke a 5 game streak without a win with a battling 2-1 victory at Colchester.

Carlisle are only warm favourites here, and there are a few diffences of opinion in pricing. From a shade of odds on right up to 2.25. Carlisle at Brunton Park have always been a tough task and until recently this was not the case. However since the New Year Carlisle have found home comforts with three wins from three. Carlise should be backed at home here and the odds are very good. 2.00 and no bigger for me so we get great value here.
