MK Dons host Chesterfield and I am siding with the home team. Dons are in 2nd position currently with 62 points, 8 behind Bristol City but more importantly have let Preston catch up and equal the 62 point haul. Points grow more precious as only two teams go up. MK Dons home form is superb with 11 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. Recent form is a little mixed though with 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Dele Alli and Dean Bowditch are out but Dons add Joe Walsh to the squad – the defender signing from Crawley. Chesterfield are only 5 places behind the home side but a massive 17 points difference. Their away from is worst in top 13 also. Recent form isn’t great with 2 wins and 4 defeats from last 6. Dan Gardner and Daniel Jones are out.
I think MK Dons simply have to win here given the great form of Preston to chase them down. Chesterfield are ineffective away from home and at MK they have too much to do.
