Two teams at the bottom end of England League One go head to head at The Banks Stadium. Walsall have had a miserable time so far and have not won, with three draws and 2 defeats. Losses have came to Yeovil and Scunthorpe – two sides sitting around them in the drop zone. Draws have came against better sides with Bradford and Leyton Orient held to 0-0 draws. A draw with a poor Rochdale side makes up the tally so far. Walsall are losing players by the game with Sam Mantom joining the injury list.  Also out are striker Ashley Grimes while Ashley Grimes, Jordan Cook and Ben Purkiss are unfit. Worse news comes as forward Romaine Sawyers received an international call up and will miss out. Colchester are in poor form of their own. Five league games so far and 1 draw to go with 4 defeats. The difference here though is the 4 defeats have all come to teams you would expect in and around the playoffs come end of year. Notts County, Bristol City, Peterbro and Doncaster are all decent sides. Colchester sacked their manager and brought in Tony Humes. He gets a bit of good news on his debut with the availability of Josh Thompson and Sanchez Watt after injuries.

Really close game this one but the odds are too far apart. On a brief look it looks like a home win this one but Walsall have lost to some poor sides so far and haven’t looked sharp going forward at all. They have played well defensively but are hit with key injuries in all departments here today. Colchester have had a horrendous opening fixture list and  1 point is about all they have deserved. Expect them to start shooting up the table now they drop down in class.
