Luton take on AFC Wimbledon in out last match bet of the day. Luton opened up with a solid 1-0 away win at Carlise. A tough place for any visting team but Luton were strong in all departments. They went down in midweek to League 1 Swindon but only by 2-1 and matched them for the best part of 80 minutes before going down to a couple of later goals. Luton will however miss Luke Rooney suspended but he was not in the starting eleven in the opening match. Andy Parry is also out but better news for the Hatters is the availability of their best player Luke Gutteridge. Also ready for a return are Danny Fitzsimons, Alex Lawless, Ricky Mills and Curtley Williams. AFC Wimbledon have had two tough games to open. A 2-2 against a decent Shrewsbury side and a tough midweek slog against big rivals MK Dons. They are yet to record a win, the side has proven to be a handful in the air but don’t look competent in some areas. Jack Smith, the regular right back misses out here but new loan signing Adam Barret should slot in.

Luton’s 1^st league game for 5 years should be good atmosphere for The Hatters. They have hauled themselves back into the football league after many years of trying. AFC Wimbledon beat them to it but have not managed to escape the division. The two sides are pretty evenly matched in betting terms but for me Luton have the better players and are capable of playing better football. Key men return for Luton and that’s good enough for me.
