Arsenal v Liverpool 1x2 predictions & tips

Arsenal is on top of the Barclays Premier League, and they are 3-0-1 at home at the Emirates so far this season. However, they’ve lost their last two home games overall to Dortmund and Chelsea. Arsene Wenger did play a handful of his expected first eleven in midweek’s League Cup loss to Chelsea due to the injury situation. This may lead to several of his players being leggy here.

Liverpool has been solid away from home this Premier League season. So far they are 2-2-0. In three out of those four matches Liverpool has scored two or more. With the likes of Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho this Liverpool side is a major threat.

It will be interesting to see if Brendan Rodgers will play 4-2-3-1 or his 3-5-2 system utilized lately. Against Arsenal I have a suspicion he will be back to 4-2-3-1. Especially away from home!

Team News

Arsenal will still miss Mathieu Flamini (Defensive midfielder). Serge Gnabry (Right sided midfielder) is not fit to play. Attacking midfielder Theo Walcott is still not fit. Neither is: Yaya Sanogo (Forward), Lukas Podolski (Forward), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Midfielder) and Abou Diaby (Central Midfielder). Mikel Arteta (Versatile midfielder) returns from suspension.

Liverpool will still miss Jose Enrique at left back. Glen Johnson took a knock last time he played but is match fit. Iago Aspas (Forward) and Sebastian Coates (Central Defender) are both out for some time.

Arsenal has failed to beat Liverpool at home the last three times the Reds have been visiting. This will for sure be a tough game, and I am not seeing much separating these two sides at the minute.
