ASTON VILLA V LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS

Aston Villa have been dragged into the relegation zone thanks to Wigan’s win yesterday and need to pick up a point here to move out of the bottom 3.  Liverpool don’t have much to play for with the Champions League looking out of reach for them but they’ll continue to want strong performances until the end of the year.

Villa have 30 points from 30 games in the Premiership which has them in 18^th place, even on points with 17^th place Wigan.  They have won 2 straight matches against fellow relegation zone teams Reading and QPR but the tough matches start now and Villa still need at least 3 wins to see them safe.

Liverpool are 7^th in the table with 45 points from 30 matches but are 10 points off 4^th place and the final Champions League spot.  They will hope to finish above rivals Everton who are 6^th in the table but it’ll be tough to go any higher than that.

Villa have a large injury list with Herd, Albrighton, Gardner, Dunne and Petrov all definitely missing but they will give late fitness tests to Clark, Baker, El Ahmadi and Bent.

Liverpool will be missing Allen, Borini and Kelly.
