BOURNEMOUTH V WIGAN PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Bournemouth are 7^th in League 1 and are chasing a playoff spot which they hope will get them promoted to the Championship.  They are in strong recent form with 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 league matches and after drawing away at Wigan first time round they will confident of winning at home in the replay.

Wigan are just hanging onto safety in the EPL and are 17^th, ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference.  They have an important match against a much improved Sunderland team at the weekend so they may concentrate on that rather than put too much resources into this.

In the initial tie Wigan rested a number of first team players and allowed their squad players to get a rare start.  They would want to go through in the Cup but know their only real goal is Premiership survival so if Roberto Martinez thinks resting players for the weekend’s game will give them the best chance of a result, that’s what he will do.
