CHELSEA V WIGAN PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Chelsea are 3^rd in the EPL with 46 points from 45 matches but now find themselves 16 points behind leaders Manchester United and their league challenge is finished for the season.  They will have a hard fight to hold onto 3^rd place with Spurs just 1 point behind.  They have won just 2 of their last 5 games, with 2 draws and 1 defeat.  This is too inconsistent for a team who expects to be competing at the top of the league.

Wigan are 18^th in the Premier League in the final relegation spot and are 2 points away from safety.  They have not won in 5 matches but have drawn 3 of their last 4, they really need to turn some of these draws into wins however if they want to survive.

Chelsea only have two injuries with Romeu and Luiz missing but Wigan have the worst injury list in the league at the moment.  They will be missing Boyce, Fyvie, Pollitt, Ramis, Miyaichi, Watson, Crusat and Alcaraz.  Any team would struggle with a list that long but for a small side like Wigan it is especially difficult.

It’s no surprise Chelsea are big favourites here with the gap between the sides.  Chelsea may have struggled lately at home but with Wigan’s huge injury list I think Chelsea will dominate here.
