Alan Pardew plots his revenge on a Newcastle side he lead through adversity for a few years. Palace are 13th with 26 points from their 24 games so far. Home form for them is 3 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats. Last 6 in the league see 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses – a great return when you see that their two most influential players in Jedinak and Bolasie were absent. Both players are still recovering from international duty but both are likely to start here. Mouraune Chamakh will not feature though. Newcastle have just 1 win in the last 6 games. They are positioned in 11th and are 5 points above the hosts. Away form isn’t great though with 3 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses. No new injury news for Newcastle who still miss a raft of players. In defence the two Taylors Ryan and Stephen. Midfield misses Toite and Aarons while Gutierrez has left the club.
Pardew will be extra keen to get something here. I think this will be a low scoring encounter. Newcastle never seem to perform on their trips down south and are generally poor away anyway. I take Palace with a small start to overcome. If game is won we get paid, a draw sees half stake returned.
