TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Southampton are without injured centre back Jos Hooiveld who has started all 4 of the Saints game’s so far. They may look for record signing Gaston Ramirez to make his first start for the team since his €15m move from Bologna, he came off the bench in the loss at Arsenal

Villa are still without long run injured players Albrighton, Dunne and Gardner but should be able to name the same side that won against Swansea last week. Their use of Weiman up front alongside Bent in the past few matches has led to improved results and I’d expect the pair to continue starting this match.

Southampton have had a number of high scoring games this season thus far, almost the complete opposite of Villa who have kept their games tight and only conceded and scored multiple goals once. I expect this game to meet somewhere in the middle with Villa giving up more chances than usual but also with more opportunities to score themselves.
